In continuation of last post, here we are reading types of journalism

Sports Journalism: Sports Journalist prepares and circulates news related to sports events. Being sports journalist needs to circulate news about all the accurate facts related to sports event. They capture sports event spending hours on a particular sport event. Mostly sports lovers watch the live coverage yet there are many people like to read and watch the news deeply about the latest sports events.

News Journalism: The Main role of the News Journalist is to circulate report news that covers world, country and community. They need to research, investigate, discuss, analyze and make valuable authentic news report for public. Such News stories can be part of print media, radio, television etc. They often cover social issues, political, cultural, human rights, public movements etc.

Investigative Journalism: The primary role of investigative journalism is to bring up the news that related to scandals. News journalists are specialized in making headlines that expose scandals. To circulate such news, journalist must have the proofs, evidence and in dept research.

Business and Finance Journalism: Being Business and Finance Journalism needs to cover latest business news, launch of products, stock market etc. Journalist circulates in-depth reports about all latest reports. There are many television channels and newspaper that only broadcasts news related to business and finance.

Types of Journalism

Journalism seems to be an exciting career. The main motive of journalist is to bring up the news with accurate facts. Let’s discuss Types of Journalism:-

Fashion journalism: Fashion journalism is related to fashion world. Professionals are also recognizing as fashion writers or fashion editors. Fashion journalism is to cover all the facts about fashion business and to develop lifestyle news articles. You can read fashion articles in magazines, newspaper and fashion channels on television. If you have interest on such topics there are ample of opportunities available to become fashion journalist.

Celebrity journalism: Another interesting area, celebrity journalism is related to entertainment world. Journalist circulates news, events, facts related to celebrities professional and personal life. Celebrity here not only means movie stars also include other field’s celebrity such as music, sports, politics, dance, art etc. Gossiping about celebrities is one of the main angles in journalism. Interview with celebrity is another great factor. Celebrity journalism is popular in newspapers, television, radio and magazines.

Citizen journalism: Citizen Journalist is not the professionals and they are not responsible for the news report directly. Anyone can voluntarily participate and provide report news to media to offer help. Citizen journalist basically brings up the issues that may be missed by media.

Environmental journalism: Here, they prefer research and circulate issues related to environment. They cover issues for the protection and conservation of environment. Some of them work for a cause and some only report news.

Basically Journalism is all about broadcasting news with the authenticity. They do deep research before circulate news. There are more types of Journalism that you will read in my next update.

Journalism is a valuable field that broadcast treasured news through the print media as well as the electronic media. Journalists convey information to the audience to keep update people what all things happening around the world. Journalists as professionals involve various areas of work such as Reporting, Writing, Editing, Photography, Broadcasting, Cable Casting news items, Article and other form of presentation.

Journalists or reporters research and collect information about a variety of things worldwide such as news, current affairs, events, trends, fashion, issues and people. They present information in a manner that provides unbiased objective viewpoint. Journalist research for the stories and relevant information and present it to the targeted audience in their own words. To get background information they go to sources and obtain direct quotes. Also they conduct research using variety of documentation formats. Journalist ensures the information they broadcasting is valid and true, they often attend events to observe the relevancy and to gain information.

Journalist circulates news through newspapers, magazines, television, periodicals, radio, podcasts and internet. They write some pieces of the new short stories to long articles, feature stories, travel reviews, interviews, columns, advices, how to article and current affairs. Sometimes they add photographs and documentation in text as required. Some professionals are responsible for writing content, editing content, accuracy check, and documentation sets etc.

You need to have degree in journalism, mass communications, or other related field to be part of Journalism. Journalism group in to two basis of media:-

• Print Journalism – includes magazines, newspapers and journals.
• Electronic Journalism – includes radio, television and Web.
